Bowen Technique Therapy

Bowen therapy is an effective 'hands on' therapy which works with the muscles and soft tissues (fascia) of the body stimulating the body's own healing mechanism, affecting the whole body, not just parts of it.

Its seeks out the root cause of the problem rather than just dealing with the symptoms.

Bowen therapy facilitates the release of toxins from the body which may be producing 'blockages' to the flow of energy within the body and consequently generating dis-ease.

Once the natural flow and balance of the body has been restored this then allows all of the systems of the body to function more efficiently.

Bowen therapy has also been found to accelerate the healing process.

Bowen therapy is suitable for all people of any age, from newborn babies to those in their more senior years.

It can beneficial for various conditions and ailments including muscular/skeletal problems, injuries - old and new, wounds, hayfever, sporting injuries, systemic issues, fractures, RSI, stroke, relaxation and general well-being.

A Bowen treatment initially consists of 3 sessions, with the first session usually being approximately one and half hours long with subsequent sessions being 40 mins to an hour long.

After the initial 3 sessions, advice will be given as to whether further sessions would be beneficial.

Usually a session once a month will be sufficient for maintenance and general well-being.

Bowen treatment is best when performed on the skin, however, it can also be delivered through loose fitting clothing.
